Frederick Mutual Introduces Key Technologies to Enhance your Agency's User Experience

Dear Valued Agent,

Frederick Mutual appreciates your business. We also appreciate the constructive feedback you have provided that helps us help you and our policyholders. As you know, in December of 2020 we launched the easier-to-use policy administration and quoting interface on BriteCore. And, in March we launched our new homeowners’ product, Frederick Mutual SecureTM Home, on BriteCore for Maryland policies.

As 2021 progresses we are excited about being able to provide you new technologies that will enhance the ease of use of our systems and help you be more productive.  Specifically, we are in the process of deploying the following products.

  • Effective Monday, April 26, 2021 Frederick Mutual will launch the BriteApps policyholder management suite of tools. By visiting my.FrederickMutualInsurance.com policyholders will be able to manage policies, make online payments, file claims, contact agents, upload photos and more. Later this year mobile applications on both the Android and Apple platforms will be available. Please visit our website for more information on our new BriteApps technology.

  • In the summer of 2021 Frederick Mutual SecureTM Home product will be made available on Vertafore’s PL Rating comparative rating platform. We continue to explore additional comparative rating tools and will provide you updates throughout the year.

  • Frederick Mutual has partnered with DocuSign which allows agents to request digital signatures and sign documents electronically. This technology will be available In early May 2021. Please see Docusign’s website for more information.

  • Through BriteCore, our new policy administration system, agents are able to retrieve all policy documents that have been generated. To view documents related to any policy, simply visit the policies view in BriteCore, select a policy, and then visit the attachments folder. You can print or save both the policyholder and agency copy of any policy documents generated.

  • Later in 2021 Frederick Mutual is working with its external vendor to allow for download for commercial lines and personal lines from BriteCore. We will be providing more information as this deployment continues.

  • In January of 2021, Frederick Mutual provided agencies an interface to provide ACH payment information to allow for electronic funds transfer of commissions payments. If you have not done so already, please access https://portal.frederickmutual.com (our legacy portal) and click on the Electronic Payment (ACH) link to add this information. If you need assistance, contact helpdesk@frederickmutual.com

  • Later in 2021 Frederick Mutual will be providing electronic commission statements to all agencies using ACH.

 

 For Your Information

  • Auto Recurring Payments: As we migrate policies from our older systems to BriteCore we will need to reach out to policyholders previously on an auto recurring payment schedule. Due to privacy and security restrictions, we do not store client payment data in a readable format so we will need you, or the policyholder through BriteApps, to re-enter payment information.

  • In order to protect client’s financial information, please remember - do not send credit card or bank account information via email. Please enter information directly into the appropriate payment system or contact our office if you need to provide or update payment data.

  • Effective May 4, 2021 all new homeowners quotes will need to be made on the BriteCore platform for both Pennsylvania and Maryland policies (additional states will be added later in 2021). Access to our legacy homeowners system will be disabled for quoting on that date.
